St Cormac’s Society is a registered charity established in 2019 by a small group of advocates to ‘do something’ about the loss of local heritage and historical records set against the persistent neglect of important cultural communities, institutions and landscapes by official Ireland. We are an inclusive, forward thinking and dynamic young organisation seeking volunteers to participate on our projects or getting involved with our small (yet driven!) management team.

Our Mission

Our Mission is the promotion of culture, heritage and history in North Mayo, by providing support for academic and genealogical research, preservation and cataloging of historical records and exhibitions, workshops, and other heritage events for the public benefit, particularly for local communites.

Chairperson - Liam Alex Heffron, Secretary - Peter Gilroy, Treasurer - Stephanie Jennings.
